Obama 44
Bursting on the 2008 presidential scene full of hope for change…Obama an odd name for one American born, subjected to ridicule and scorn from the white establishment, you know, the good old boys making noise as their grip on the American electorate slips..He can play the game but just his name spells failure...Because Barack’s too dark, his white ain’t right, his wife’s too ethnic and his swag’s too light, to be a U.S. President…or so they thought…

In a heated battle with McCain, the decorated hero and the political zero from the last frontier...The hopeful excited, fires of change ignited in the very least of these by the smiling, inspirational, swaggalicious Senator from the Windy City…Millions became giddy at the thought of his presidency, his residency forever in question, Because Barack’s too dark, his white ain’t right, his wife’s too ethnic, and his swag’s too light, To be a U.S. President…or so they thought…

Pundits tearing him down, opponents trying to clown his very existence but with his persistence unmatched, sabotage hatched like uncontrollable wildfires...Pastor Jeremiah a proverbial thorn in his side…Michelle’s “proud” remark like deadly cyanide to those bent on hate, Because Barack’s too dark, his white ain’t right, his wife’s too ethnic and his swag’s too light, To be a U.S. President…or so they thought…

Standing before massive crowds, a rhetorical master in action, a brown-faced man chanting yes we can a phenomenon unheard, Closing generational gaps and transcending racial lines drawn in the hot political sands, men, women, boys and girls…it was Barack’s world, his international political stage sparked bigoted outrage, vet him  strong but treat him wrong because white is the only right in these United States of America, Mock his children, attack his wife, call him a nigger and manufacture strife, reduce him to a symbol of terrorism, Extremists rise, haters tell lies to stop him in his tracks, Because Barack’s too dark, his white ain’t right, his wife’s too ethnic, and his swag’s too light to be a U.S. President…or so they thought…

In a primary contention versus Hilary Clinton a hard fought victory after all was said and done, so run Barack run, you bi-racial son of international scholars, Shock  and dismay, reaction of the day..How did he get this far? Who lowered the bar and allowed this Muslim-reared, anti-America Kenyan to think that he can infiltrate the ranks of the U.S. presidency? Because Barack’s too dark, his white ain’t right, his wife’s too ethnic, and his swag’s too light to be a U.S. President…or so they thought…

Alien, terrorist, teleprompter king, inexperienced socialist, anti-American weakling, vying for the highest office in the land and a black man no less, Get him out by any means necessary, a black first family would defile every good deed and intention of the founding fathers, Because Barack’s too dark, his white ain’t right, his wife’s too ethnic, and his swag’s too light, To be a U.S. President…or so they thought…

Election night 2008, Grant Park played host to hundreds of thousands witnessing history in their lifetime, red versus blue, black versus white, Obama versus McCain, game over, a done deal score one for the people’s will, victory in a landslide, overwhelming national pride as President-elect Barack Hussein Obama struts on stage before adoring supporters, Tear down the borders for the Commander-in-Chief has arrived… stop the hate and let the people’s voice resonate…
